Since our founding in 2010, the REAP Federation has been committed to one great calling: to reap the harvest for Christ in India and beyond. Rev. Dr. J. Y. Paulraj, M.A., A.D.D., Ph.D., was introduced to the Reformed faith as a teenager by Rev. Jason L. Kortering of the Protestant Reformed Churches of America. Being certain of his calling to become a missionary pastor, Rev. Paulraj gave up his position as a lecturer and became a student of theology at the Presbyterian Theological Seminary (Dehra Dun, India) and the Asian Reformed Theological School (Singapore).
Rev. J. Y. Paulraj and his wife, Kasthuri Paulraj, laid the foundation of this ministry in 2003 in Vellore by giving up their opportunity to migrate to the USA and choosing instead to remain in India for the cause of Christ. With the spiritual supervision and financial support of the India Mission Committee of the GPRC, MI, two congregations (Tamil and English) were formally established in Vellore in 2010. Under ARTS – Asian Reformed Theological School program, number of young men and ministers are trained in the Reformed Theology. Since then, by God’s grace, several pastors have joined the federation, and the work continues to grow.
